Everyday brown eyes makeup tutorial using NYC New York Colour products.15.4.13
NYC ( New York Color) is a high street beauty brand I discovered very recently. I heard good opinions about their products but I could never get my hands on them beacuse drugstores I usually go to don't supply them. Lat staurday I went on a search for an organic shampoo, I went into a pharmacy I pass almost everyday and saw this big, black shining stand with NYC written all over it. I got so excited I bought 5 products and went straight home to try them out ( and forgot to buy the shampoo, so me ! )
Here's a little makeup tutorial inspired by the NYC Individual Eyes Palette for Brown eyes.
The review of all the products will be up when I have all the products I bought tested.
I only tried out blush and eyeshadows palette but I'm in love alredy! can't wait to try other products I purchased.
NYC Individual Eyes- brown eyes.
I actually LOVE this product. Think it was only 3.99 ( less than 4e anyway) and it includes 4 full size eyeshadows, primer and a highliter. Primer has a really nice, creamy consistency and it really helps the eyeshadows to stay in place. Eyeshadows are very well pigmented and easy to apply and highlighter had a really nice shine to it and unlike other high street highlighters doesn't leave glittery patches on the skin but nicely blends in.
I first applied bit of the primer all over the eyelids.
Using a fairly small brush applied the light brown shadow all over the lids.
With a slightly bigger brush and dark brown shadow I contoured he eyes.
Using a blending brush I applied purple shadow in the crease and blended all the colours together.
With an angle brush I highlighted the bottom lash line, I used dark brown shadow in the middle and the purple one in the outer corner of the eye.
Using a multi-purpose brush and the pearl eyeshadow I higlighted the inner corners of my eyes.
Then I drew a really thin line close to my lashes to open-up the eyes.
Applied good bit of mascara
And using my fingers dabbed highlighter all over my cheek and brow bones.
Another NYC product I used to do this look is NYC Cheek Glow blush.
I love the shade it's in. It's easy to apply and looks very nice on my skin, I only wish it was bit more pigmented, I always find it hard to work with lightly pigmented products because I never know when to stop 'layering' the product until I look like a clown. But my owerall opinion on this bluch is C+.
I applied blush on the apples of my cheeks, and that's the makeup done ! :)
Here's the finished look. To make it more of a night time look simply add bit of black shadow in the outer corners and crease, glue fake eyelashes and put on a strong lippy. Any NYC products you would recommend ?
